We returned home yesterday from a short holiday. We spent the first night in Macclesfield then two nights in Windermere, two nights in Scarborough and finally two nights in Bedford. Pam was able to visit the house that her father stayed in while on school holidays when he was a boy and she later visited as a young child. On the way to Windermere we stopped in a small village called Clapham, Yorkshire, where Pam located the grave of a paternal grand father, not sure how many greats, who died in the 1833.

The stayed in a B&B in Windermere, comfortable if on the cramped side. We spent the day sight seeing on the lake from a boat. It was very injoyable. Then on to visit Emma and family in Scarborough. We had a great time putting the world to right. The children all got on well. Then down to Bedford to Andre and family. Where we continued to put the world right.

Jess is back at school but Pam has another week of before returning to work.
